The Romans had a practice called "Lupercalia" which revolved around "Sex" and when you think of how Valentine's Day is celebrated today the romance that is celebrated is the same idea. In many ways we do not truly celebrate "St. Valentine's Day" which was the intention of the early church to combat the practices of the Roman Lupercalia.
In fact! . . . The real St. Valentine was a Martyr for the faith who got his head chopped off. His love was sooo deep, he was willing to take part in the ultimate sacrifice of laying down his life. I pray for the couples to understand and truly live a committed relationship that is true. Which in fact the word "compatible" comes from the Latin word "Compati" which means "to suffer with.." Are we truly ready and willing to suffer with our spoouses or significant others?
I pray that today you all truly celebrate "St. Valentine's Day" and not Lupercalia and learn to every day live with an endless joy celebrating true #LOVE . . . #allislove
