- The Symbol
- All is Love  I was first inspired to create my own prayer space at home about 5 years ago when dialoguing with people of other faiths about prayer and ritual. I saw the need for it to express in a more deep and intimate way my Catholic Christian faith to actually have a symbol of a living prayer in my living space.
The picture above is my latest altar, and everything is symbolic for my life right now and when my son Christian is back here we will together work on a new altar for Advent. Every month or so; especially at the change of new liturgical seasons, or when some major transitions are happening in my life I add new color and rearrange the space. Some things get added over time as I purchase them or receive as gifts, like the crucifix I got this past summer inspired reading the life of Pope St. John Paul II. Some other things you might notice are my baptismal candle or the 2 pictures from my first communion in the back... Maybe you might even notice the kneeling Iron Man on the left. (I wrote a story about this quite some time ago on my blog. You can check that HERE. Know that Iron Man has been on this altar ever since.) I pray you all may be inspired to create your own personal dedications. - The Symbol - All is Love   #TBT ...
I was 18. Holding my few month old boy. Daddy loves you Christian. Been there since day one and I'm not going to stop now. Heavenly Father I ask you tonight as i have asked you every night only to send my guardian angel to Christian with an embrace of your love in me. And may the same kiss you conceived us with be the one that puts him to bed tonight. Amen.

Of course the only #HipHop guy there but it's cool we're growing. Never thought I would be able to sit in the Cardinal's conference room multiple times. Decided to take this picture in front of the office. He wasn't there. But I'm honored to be doing this work. As odd and out of place that I look God still keeps giving me the opportunity to connect with people and minister. Despite the crosses I carry daily; I continue. There are many who don't want to see this work fulfilled(some even purposely have put blocks on it I know), and honestly if it wasn't for a current cross I'm carrying I wouldn't even have been able to be there today.... I just pray that this may all lead to our Sanctity. Lord use me to bring your spirit into our modern culture. Amen.

A big thing you will see in a theme with me lately has been about perseverance.... Honestly because it is something I am being asked of in my personal life. Persevering with the art and ministry that I do; persevering through the trials in my family life; persevering in my prayer life and working towards my vocation. Pray with me, that not only I but you may be able to persevere through all of the things life throws at us; all of the things that try to knock us off our balance or take away our focus and dedication towards what is true and beautiful. May we have the grace to persevere in Love.
