The following is a very millennial story....
It all started Four years ago in a Facebook Christian Group where Janet posted asking for testimonies to share on campus.
Brandon, wrote back stating that he will a video but it has never been completed 'til this day. Once Janet and Brandon became Facebook Friends Janet looked through his page and liked almost all of his comments/photos. A few weeks later there was a Skype call and Janet who had developed an attraction became very nervous she rushed him off the phone.
The next time they spoke was in June of 2012 when Brandon asked if Janet was going to go his birthday barbecue in Pelham Bay Park because she had clicked "going" on the invite page. She said she was going, but in the end never showed up.
In August Brandon attempted a meet up to talk more about the group Janet was starting on campus and after a few tries they met up at the end of August. (Janet considers this the first date, but Brandon honestly viewed it as a simple meet up) Janet stated she would be moving back to Rochester and she had a big bag which turned out to be a suitcase with a broken wheel that they lugged around after meeting by 14th Street Union Square at Starbucks.
After this first in person meeting in August, Brandon and Janet did not meet up until the end of October of 2012 where after ice skating and going to eat they sat in the park. During their conversation, Brandon decided to ask Janet to Pinky Swear that no matter what the outcome was they would have in their interactions(whether as a romantic couple or not), they would promise to get one another to Heaven. Their next meeting was in November when they officially started dating.
Since then it has been four years of long distance, finishing school, learning and growing with one another in faith. This journey has been one with laughter, tears, arguments, prayer, and bible studies over Skype. It was on October 21st at St. Dominic's Church during The Encounter NYC, Brandon performed in presentation entitled "Covenant" one unreleased song called "Seasons" where he proposed to Janet asking her hand in marriage.
On June 24th, 2017 they joined officially in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony. It is their belief that Marriage is a school of holiness; it is where the Husband and the wife become Holy by service and love of one another and their children.
